We produce the designs to be carved on the press mold or embossing roller. Our design production for customers proceeds typically by the following processes.
1．When a design model produced by a design office or another party is presented to us
When the design model is high in quality, roller production can be started swiftly after the model is digitized and minor data changes are made. We will proceed with production, considering your requests, such as adjustment of the pattern depth.
２．When a texture and layout drawing are presented to us
If a natural stone or another object (which has the texture you need) is presented to us along with a layout drawing, we will produce the design model based on them. We will start production after the design is approved by the customer based on computer graphics (CG) or on a machined chemical wood model.
3. Design production using 3D computer-aided design (CAD)
If the expected design is a simple repetition of a pattern as can be seen in a geometric pattern, we will directly produce the design data using 3D CAD and then start producing the mold.
４. Design development from scratch
We can develop a design from scratch if a basic concept is presented, but in that case, we will need to reach an agreement with the customer concerning design ownership in advance.
In other cases, the customer will have ownership rights to the design.
5. Plain relief design with positive molds and negative molds
If the relief design consists of plain positive molds and negative molds, we may be able to prepare data based on printed matter, photographs, or JPEG images.
