FAQs
Frequently asked questions
The following is a list of frequently asked questions and our answers to them.
Could you tell us about your terms of business?
For business with overseas customers, we request payment before shipment basically.
We will ship a product after the arrival of payment.
For customers who are incorporated in Japan, conventional business terms apply.
Please send an inquiry for more details.
What about shipment to other countries?
We will ship by international shipping services using a wooden box.
For some extremely large products, we may ask customers to arrange the shipment.
Please send an inquiry for more details.
What materials do you use to produce molds?
For use in a hot environment, we use many metal-made molds and rollers: duralumin, aluminum, brass, S50C, SUS, SK3, SKD, etc. We have cutting expertise suited to individual materials.
We will suggest the optimal method, including surface treatment, such as plating and alumite treatment.
To what extent can reverse engineering reproduce fineness?
The 3D micromachining preforms cutting by means of a drill end mill, and the fineness of the reproduced patterns depends on the end radius of the drill. The feed pitch is normally smaller than the radius of the drill end mill. The finer and longer the product, the more expensive it will be.To find the best fineness, we would recommend comparing prototypes machined at several levels to find the best reproduction level in terms of your expectations and budget.
Through what process will design approval be obtained?
Normally, when the design is produced, we present CG to the customer and obtain approval, or we present a machined chemical wood prototype, have it checked and obtain approval. When a delicate expression is desired, we recommend checking the design by a machined prototype.
How will design production and mold production proceed?
Aiming to lower the total cost, we communicate with customers by email, telephone, facsimile, and courier service. For especially important decisions, we will keep the history of email transactions such as documents, images and CG, to ensure production to your needs.
Is it possible to visit your factory?
To maintain the confidentiality of our brand-new designs and entrusted studies, we do not allow visits by external parties to our factory. For the approval of a mold or roller, a designated place will be used.
Please feel free to look around the reception room and exhibition booth on the second floor of the building, where various samples, design models and prototypes are exhibited.
Is it possible to measure the precision of the mold, roller, or molded product?
Is it possible for you to submit 3D data, NC processing data, measurement data or design data?
Unfortunately, we are unable to present any numerical data because of the policy of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, who prevents the leakage of technological information of mold manufacturers.
